There are some records in the history of cricket that are difficult to break
Some records in cricket are meant to break. However, there is a record that can not be broken. The maximum of 36 runs in one over can be done but one is also the bowler who has scored the highest of 77 runs in one over and he has a shameful record in his name.
This incident happened in the first class match played on 20 February 1990. When New Zealand's 2 domestic teams played between Kentucky and Wellington. Wellington's team gave the challenge of 291 runs for the final day at Cantor's win. Chasing down the Kentucky challenge, lost 5 wickets for 196 runs. The match came in favor of Wellington. Roger Ford and Lee survived in the German match and the game moved towards the draw. Wellington's captain thought that the opposing team should be given the opportunity to play open and in the meantime it would be wrong to lose his wicket. Latham gave the ball to Vincent but he gave away 77 runs in his over.
Birt Vincent was bowled 22 balls in this over, only to put just one ball in the first 17 balls. The ball was second and there was some Fultus ball, which gave him 64 runs. None of the batsmen scored the ball, but the batsmen were German Lee. Only 13 runs were scored in five balls and thus total 77 runs in one over. Now the team needed 18 runs to win the final over. Ivan Grani scored 15 runs from the first five balls of this over, but the match could not be scored on the final ball.
